LONDON, August 5. Contradictory reports of disorders and complete calm have filtered through from Greece, to which telephonic and cable communication- is interrupted. The frontier between Greece and Yugoslavia is closed. Reports of serious clashes; however, are discounted. ■" .

The Athens correspondent of "The Times" declares that there is no out* ward sign of a military dictatorship. The majority of the people are tired of. incessant party bickerings, and at>pear to condone General Metaxas'i action. . . . ;

The "Manchester Guardian's" Vienna correspondent explains that General Metaxas long desired to establish a dictatorship, but King George was opposed to it.
