■B. A. Killeen, formerly a member of the Hutt Rugby Club', and now captain of the Auckland representative fifteen, was appointed by the management committee of the . New Zealand Rugby Union last night, to captain the North Island team in the inter-Island match at Christchurch oh August 15. W.
