*vAt A3,. m?eting of the committee of the Ashburton County Racing Club the programme for .the Spring Meeting was discussed, and. it was decided in view of the success of the club's're- £ r.^ etlngs> to increase the stakes by £200. No race on the programme will be worth less than £100: The.totalisator sub-committee reported that it was hoped to have the new totalisator house, which is to be erected in conjunction with the Ashburton Trotting.-Club, in use. at the- club's Summer Meeting on November 28.
