Engineer-Commander -R. p.. Chapman, who recently completed 'three years in the cruiser Diomede in New Zealand, is,to join the Admiralty today for .duty in: the department .of the Engineer-m-Chief. Commander Chapman went to sea from Dartmouth in August, 1914, as midshipman of H.M.S. Hannibal/and subsequently served in the Benbow.: 'In October,: 1916, he joined the sloop.; Mignonette as sublieutenant, and ■in .May;-1917, the destroyer Christopher ■■ as ' lieutenant.
