HAUPTMANN'S MONEY
The will of Bruno Hauptmann was Bled recently in the Surrogate's Court in the Bronx. The estate, according to the petition for probate, amounts to less than £200, all of which was left to Mrs. Anna Hauptmann.
Drafted on January 13, 1933, the will was filed by Frank B. Mescke,- attorney, of 405 Lexington Avenue..
"I direct my executrix, or executor, hereinafter named, to pay all my just debts, funeral,' and testamentary expenses as soon after my decease as may be practicable," the will read and added: "All the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, of whatsoever kind, nature, .and description, wheresoever same [may be situate, I give, devise, and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Anna Hauptmann, to be .hers absolutely and forever."
The will directed that in the case of "prior or simultaneous death of my beloved wife" one-half of the estate should go to his mother. Pauline Hauptmann, and the other half to be divided equally between his father-in-law. Friedrich Schoeffler. and his mother-in-law, Katharina Schoeffler. In the event of his mother's death her share was to go to Hauptmann's brother, Frit/. Hauptmann. and his sister, Emma Glockner, in equal shares.
