Advice has been received of the^promotion of Sub-Inspector J-. Sweeney,- in. charge of thi defective division * in Auckland, to an inspectorship, but; far the time being he will remain in Auckland pending certain transfers affecting stations in other parts of New Zealand. -."•'■ •'■:■
