EVANGELICAL UNION

The annual public meeting for prayer partners of the Victoria University ColJege Evangelical Union was held last evening in the Blue Triangle Hall, there being a fair number present. Dr. J. M. Laird presided.. After an opening hymn had been sung, Mr. Mervyn Wilson led in prayer. Mr. R. Miller, the student president, spoke of the history of the organisation during the five years of its existence, and Dr. Laird gave an outline of its strength today. There are now organisations in fifteen colleges in New Zealand. The speaker for the evening was Dr. C. J. Rolls, honorary ■ director for Australia and New Zealand of the Sudan Interior Mission, who spoke of the truths contained fn the New and Old Testaments.
