MODEL AERO CLUB
WINNER OF MOFFET CUP
There was a full, attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Wellington Model Aero Club. In pre-senting-the report of the year's activities,' Mr.vE. Ombler made special reference to the^valuable assistance that had, been given by the Wellington Aero 'Club through its president, Mr. C. Weinstein.
Several members had sent models to the international Wakefield and Moffet Cup competitions at Akron, Ohio, and although they had not met with personal successes they were extremely gratified that Mr. V. Gray had .succeeded in winning the latter trophy,1 thus creating the opportunity - for New Zealand to be the venue of the' next international Moffet Cup competition.
x Members were also looking forward to the big two-day meeting to be held at Palmerston North on October 25 ; and 26, when representatives of all the! North clubs will be competing. Petrol-engine driven models have not been neglected.* Club members have constructed a successful aero-' plane of this type, and before long it is expected to have at least eight more of these aeroplanes in miniature on the club roster. .
