TOUR OF SPRINGBOKS
AUSTRALIA WANTS THREE

SYDNEY, This Day.
. The New South Wales Rugby Union, on behalf of the Australian unions, will press for three Test matches between Australia and the Springboks next season. Mr. Shaw, manager of the Australian team for New Zealand, will discuss the matter with the New Zealand Union. The "Daily Telegraph" points out that the Springboks said they would like a limitation on the number of Tests, and adds: "It is understood that New Zealand desires four Tests, but the playing of three here and four more in, New Zealand is too much to request the South Africans to undertakd."? • - •-':>• :•■ .• .-,. ,A■ : >. .-■
The position so far as the itinerary of the Springboks is concerned is that South Africa has agreed to its team playing two Tests with Australia and three Tests with New : Zealand. In addition it has agreed to (>lay a match with an, Australian fifteen, this being regarded in the nature of an unofficial Test. The whole question was discussed when the delegate's from the three countries were in England for the big Rugby conferences last season.
