PALMERSTONN., This Day. Close on 50 per cent, of the current year's rates of the Palmerston North City Council have been paid within a month of the demands being issued. The demands aggregate £76,000. of which £3fi,400 was paid by July 3.1. The Council offered a rebate of 2Aper cent, for payment before that date.
