LOWER HUTT BUILDING
Building at Lower Hutt continues to be brisk. Last month 25 permits were issued for buildings of an aggregate value of £26,584. In July, 1935, the aggregate value of buildings erected was only £5430.
The announcement of the Government's scheme gave a temporary setback to private building, but during the last week in July it again picked up.
