Williams, Aramoho, who has been elected one- of the three New 'Zealand University delegates to the .Pan-Pacific Conference of the World's Student Christian Federation in California,in September, left Wellington today by the Maungainii for San Francisco. Mrs. C. R. Dodd, Auckland, is visiting Mrs. J. A. .Doherty, Kelburn. Miss D. Tonks, who has: been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Humphrey, Makino, has returned to Wellington. 1 Miss Tylee, Pahiatua, is visiting Wellington. , ■ Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Guy, Raetihi, are visiting Wellington. Miss M. Shaw, Wellington, has left for. a visit to' Hamilton. Among those who did .outstanding work with the decorations for the Red Cross Ball were Mrs. M. I. Bunny and Mrs. E. W. Lamberg (the stage). and Mrs. G. W. Waite (the vestibule). Mrs. Erskine Nicol and Mrs. H. Riley, Wellington, arrived in Auckland yesterday. . Mr. and Mrs. Leslie May, Taumarunui, are visiting Wellington. 1 The death occurred on Wednesday of Miss Rose Gard, who for three years, during her residence in Khandallah, was a member of the Onslow/Miniature Rifle Club. Miss Gard was a-valuable and much-appreciated-committee member and her passing is- sincerely regretted by-all-who-had the privilege of knowing her. Miss Alison Ewen, Wellington, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Ewen, Feilding. • ■ ■ ■ Mrs. S. P. Free," Masterton, is a guest at the Hoyal Oak' Hotel.' Mrs. A. L. Cropp.(Christchurch) and Mrs. S. Hodges (Sydney) are staying at the Hotel St. George. Mrs. R. J. B. Hall (Gisborne), Mrs. Hi 'J. "Beck (Christchurch), and Mrs. M. Long (Palmerston North) are staying at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. J. K. Hornblow (Foxton), Mrs. E. Harrison (Hawera), Mrs. W} Carlton (Timaru), and Mrs. G. Harbutt (Cambridge) are staying at the Empire Hotel. ' •
