BLENHEIM, This Day. Marlborough is nominating Jack Best, All Black forward, and Alex Robinson, 'five-eighth, for the South Island team. D. Lane is not available. Best is now residing at Hamilton. INVERCARGILL, August 3. The following Southland players have been nominated for the South Island team: —Backs, N. A. Mitchell and J. Purdue; forwards, T. Mctcalfe, R. Ward, L, George, and N.R. Irwin.
