MR. S. CRAKANTHORP
SYDNEY, August 2.
The death has occurred of Mr. S. Crakanthorp, the foremost Australian chess player, who won two Australian, two New Zealand; and six New, South Wales championships. He was 51 years of age.
Mr. Crakanthorp won the New Zealand chess championship in 1923-24 and again in 1925-26.
