COLD IN THE MANAWATU
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) i v PALMERSTON N., This Day. Two days' southerly winds on the ranges culminated in a very cold snap last evening, a blizzard sweeping the high country. There was a heavy; fall of snow on the Ruahine Ranges and the tops of the hills behind Falmerston North are thickly coated.
