OTAKI HEALTH CAMP
. A great deal of improvement-is being made to the. general .surroundings of the Children's Health Camp at Otaki. With the assistance of men paid by the Employment Board, a great portion of the ground has been cleared in readiness for a proper beautifying scheme. Last week 1000 pinus muricata were planted, making the total number of trees planted by. the Health Camp Association during the past three years approximately 5000. ■ At a meeting of the executive held recently it was reported that the following gifts have been ■ received:— Flower plants and vegetables, Mrs. J. A. Easton. Levin; vegetables Mrs E Davies, Levin; vegetables,- jam, and eggs. Waikanae Junior Red Cross Circle; 1 sheep, Mr. S. Holmes, Otaki. The members of the Health Camp ladies' auxiliary are working very enthusiastically in Drepcxiug" warm clothing,- a number of children admitted to the camp not being adequately equipped, and thanks are also clue to Mrs: Arthur Dunn and her friends- for the large number of woollen garments which they have knitted.
