At an informal meeting of preference shareholders in Sanford, Ltd Auckland, the question of dividend arrears was discussed, the amount due to August 31 next being about' 6ssa share of £1, or a total of £6160. It was agreed to accept 4s a share in' full settlement. A properly-coriyened v meeting will be necessary before the matter is settled, but the directors intimated that a meeting may be called.
