NOT QUITE UP TO ENGLAND'S BEST— American iour-y ear-old Omaha, oivned by Mr. W. Woodward, chairman of the New York Jockey Club, and loho has twice recently been narrowly defeated, after winning his first two races in England. His defeats ivere by Quashed in the Ascot Gold Cup and by Taj Alcbar in the Princess of Wales's Stakes at Newmarket. He is a splendid-looking horse} his only fault being possibly a trifle too much length in the back.
