LADIES' AUXILIARY V.M.C.A.
A meeting of the V.M.C.A. Ladies' Auxiliary was held'recently, when Mrs. Brooker-.(president) was in the chair. In spite of rough weather there was a very fair attendance of members.
The "Flag Bridge" evening, it was stated, .had .proved very successful and another .was arranged for August. Arrangements were made to assist at the Optimists' luncheon ,in August.
The, "Father ; and-Son" banquet was announced tor -August and all members agreed to assist as usual on this important occasion.;
Members'had been busy during the past-month, collecting, cleaning, and sorting istamps loi sale. A - special vote (Of rthariks was accorded Mrs. MeFarlane Sor.lrer ,work in this direction. ; :.
:Mr. iSteptoe : Obeys' work secretary) reported inactivities during the month in ..the iboys' division.■ He also took occasion ,to thank the auxiliary for the wery ifine ;asbistance; and ■ co-opera-tion :itaiad rendered 'during his term as !secretaryi:and -asked that: they give to his,-;suceessbf. .the, same, loyal: support and help.' .i
Hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Spence and Steptoe.
