COLLISION CASE

JURY VISITS SCENE

To familiarise themselves with the intersection of Derwent and Medway Streets in Island Bay where the collision giving rise to the case occurred, a Supreme Court jury yesterday afternoon visited the spot.

The plaintiffs are James Alexander Geddes, aged 17, and Alexander Geddes, his guardian ad litem. They are claiming from Gladys Oliver, n married woman, damages amounting to £630 3s for injuries allegedly received by the former plaintiff in a collision between his motor-cycle and a butcher's delivery van owned but not driven by the defendant. The accident occurred on Saturday, January 18.

Mr. Justice Smith is presiding. The plaintiffs' case is being conducted by Mr. O. C. Mazengarb and Mr. F. .J. Foot, and fov the defendant Mr. W. E. Leicester is appearing.

Evidence for the defendant was heard today.
