PLAZA THEATRE.
"Pol Luck" the Attraction,
Once again Tom Walls, Ralph Lynn, ana Robertson Hare come to the screen in a farcical story bubbling with lively comedy, "Pot Luck," which will open at the Plaza Theatre today. These three have been , together for many years now, and they have built up a reputation for hilarious farce. Ben Travers, who is responsible for the story and dialogue, can always be relied upon for a good plot.' This time he has based his story on a priceless Chinese vase which is stolen by a gang of jewel thieves. The gang is run to earth by Inspector Patrick Fitzpatrick late of Scotland Yard, who is as Irish as Tom Walls can make him. The thief chase, assisted by Ralph Lynn and Diana Churchill as Reggie and Jane, takes them to Wrotton Abbey, where a Mr. Pye is being made a catspaw.by his butler and housekeeper, Mr. and Mrs. Cream. Robertson Hare gives one of his uproariously funny performances as Mr. Pye, whose gift for landing himself into trouble lands him at the bottom of a well where the sinister Cream (Gordon James) is hiding the stolen spoils for the crooks. As is inevitable in all the -Walls-Lynn comedies, much of the hilarity is invested in the characterisations. In "Pot Luck" the principals arc well up to.their standard of foolery.
