COCKAYNE MEMORIAL
DISAPPOINTING RESPONSE
The response to the appeal for funds for a memorial to the late Dr. Cockayne has been disappointing, according to a report presented to today's meeting of the Council of the Royal Society o£ New Zealand. Subscriptions received now total about £130, which, says the report, is far short of the amount which had been hoped for.
