LATE MR. B. S. LYON

The funeral of the late Mr. Bertie Sommerville Lyori, a director of the firm of J. W. Wallace and Co., Ltd., merchants, Wellington, took,place yesterday afternoon. • There was -a large attendance at the service at St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral, which was conducted by Canon Percivar James. ;.

The chief mourners were the widow of the late Mr. Lyon,, and Messrs. R. J. Lyon, Christchurch; : William Lyon,: Otaki (brothers), Miss Ruby Lyon, Wellington (sister), and -Mr. G.i Lyon (cousin). The pall-bearers were Messrs. Gavin Wallace, K. E. Luke, C. N. Harbottle, and'.B. Belharry, and amongst those present were Colonel J. J. Esson, Dr. E. H. M. Luke, Messrs. W. H. Cunningham, S. J. Smith, M. J. Casey, C. J. B. Norwood, C. M. Luke, A. Luke', F. J. White, L. M. Hyams, H. P. Hopkins, H. D. Vickery, E. J. Archibald, Guthrie. T. R. Lawson, A. Taylor, L. C. Forgie; H.-.W. Moss, E. Bull,' W. Aliern, M. F. Luckie, A. G. East, Nash, A. T. Fauvel, W. Kenner, C. Quane, J. Quin, R. Sinclair, H. Hislop, W. Tyack, R. Goddard, H. Whitt, G. Johnson, H. Foley, J. Judd, Misses Shearer and Lord (of the staff of Wallace and Co., Ltd.), Messrs. D. Jackson, M. G. C. McCaul, T. Lawless, G. E. Porter, W. Greig, W. Flanagan,'J. Glasgow, C. Macintosh, E.
