OBITUEARY
MR.-' C. H. H. CLARK
The death occurred on Tuesday of Mr. C. H. H. Clark, of "Rajputana," Maitai, Nelson, a very well-known and respected resident of Nelson, for many years, says a Press Association" message. Bom. in India and educated in I Great Britain, he came to New Zealand lin the ship Northumberland and joined the Union Bank at Palmerston North in 1886. • After service at Timaru and Nelson, he retired some 30 years ago. He- was a keen spoftsmah and\ rarely missed a Saturday afternoon following the footbaU: He was also a prominent tennis player and maintained his interest to the last. Fishing and shooting he regularly followed. While at Palmerston North he volunteered for service at Parihaka in connection with the Maori trouble. Mr. Clark leaves a widow, three daughters—Misses •G. and F. Clark (Nelson) ' arid Mrs. Murphy (Auckland)—and three sons, Messrs. H. C. Clark' (Nelson), G. H. Clark (New Plymouth), and P. M. Clark (Dunedin).
