C. J. OLIVER'S INJURY

(By- Telegraph—Press Association ) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day 4ii \£ Ohver > vice-captain of the 1935 AU Blacks, has been forced definitely to retire from Rugby owing to a groin injury received on the tour which has recurred at intervals. He has been training in the hope of resuming play but now must act on medical advice and cease. So ends a remarkable football career which started when Oliver won his Canterbury cap as a youth of nineteen in 1924.
