SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
The appeal made by the Wellington Symphony Orchestra for funds to enable it to carry on its work in the cause of music has resulted in £33 11s 6d being subscribed to date. Contributions additional to- those already published are as follows:—N. S. Falla £3 3s; R. J. Murphy,, £1 is; "Wellwisher," 10s; K. E. Clere, £1 Is; "Good Music," £1; B. Sutherland, £2 2s: F. W. Vosseler, 10s 6d; H. W. Moss, 10s 6d; previously acknowledged, £23 13s 6d; total, £33 11s 6d.
Donations may be mailed to the honorary treasurer, Dr. A. F. Hickey, P.p. Box 1182, Wellington, or may be paid at the office of Charles Begg and Company, Ltd., Manners Street. Subscribers of one guinea or more will receive two tickets for each of the concerts to be given by the orchestra this season, including the special concert on August 11, when Dr. Malcolm Sargent, the famous English conductor, will conduct the orchestra.
