VISITOR TO DOMINION

AUCKLAND, This Day,
The president of the International Amateur Athletic Federation and member of the Olympic Games Council, Mr. J. Sigfrid Edstrom, arrived by the Aorangi this morning and hopes to see both islands before sailing from Wellington on January 16.
Discussing the Olympic Games, to be held in Berlin in July and August, Mr. Edstrom said that Germany had spent £ 1,100,000 preparing stadiums and other accommodation. The major stadium would accommodate 110,000, the swimming stadium 20,000, and an openair theatre 20,000. From a tourist point of view Germany was well organised and. there was no interference with foreigners. . The country was peaceful to' outside people, though religious persecutions were causing a lot of internal trouble,
