"DID MY BEST"

OBOLENSKY INTERVIEWED

(Received January 6, 1 p.m.)

LONDON, January 5.

"It is difficult for me to believe that I am anything but an Englishman, and as one I simply did my best at Twickenham. I will play again for England if I am selected," said Prince Obolensky, who expects shortly to receive his nationalisation papers.

He is a son of a former officer o£ the Tsar's Imperial Horse Guards. He will return to Oxford University next term, and will continue to play there, where he is the first Russian to win a Rugby Blue. He said that none of the congratulations he had received had been more appreciated than those of the All Blacks.
