BIBLE CLASSES

' ANGLICAN CONFERENCE

(By. Telegraph—Press Association.)

NELSON, January 4.

At ' the second session o£ the New Jealand Anglican Bible Class Conference, the matter of class fees in arrears was discussed, but otherwise the report showed the union to be in a healthy position.

The report of the trustees of the Bible Class candidates' ordination fund showed that the balance this year is very encouraging, £20 being made in grants and over £23 in donations. The report, of the "Outward Bound" committee showed the union magazine to have made a small profit on the year's working.

. An invitation was received from the New Plymouth class to hold the next camp conference there. As there is no committee in the Diocese of Waikato, responsibility for the arrangements is to rest with the Wellington Diocesan Committee. The invitation was accepted with acclamation. It was decided that the location of the executive council for 1936 be Christchurch. Mr.. J. D. Froud was selected as delegate to the Waikanae conference of the New Zealand Council of Religious Education.

The report of the executive council on the revised constitution was introduced, the conference going into committee to consider it. The third session was almost wholly devoted to the revised constitution, of which only the last article remains to be put through.

The following officers for 1936 were elected: —Provincial executive council: President, Rev. E. A. Osmers; vicepresidents, Rev. H. T. York, Rev. Canon S. Parr; secretary, Mr. J. D.
