M. De St. Exupery, an airman, and author of the novel "Night Flight," who, with a co-pilot, Provost, left Paris on December 29 to attempt a record flight to Saigon, is believed to have been lost in the desert beyond Gersamatruh, after leaving Benghazi the same night for Basra. The British and Egyptian Air Forces arc commencing a search.
