The Western Australian Derby resulted in a win for the Iliad—Refinement flllv Yaringa. giving Iliad Hie distinction of having sired Iwo Derby winners In one year, the uth>r winner being Homer, who dead-heated In the A.J.C. classic. Yaringa was purchased in New Zealand In 1933 for 600 guineas. Tho Perth Stakes was won.by Dragonct, sire* by the New Zealand Derby winner Agrion.
