CHRISTCHURCH. January 1

Canterbury and Wellington junior cricket representatives commenced a match for the Brabin Shield today. Wellington, batting first, scored 359 (Crawford run out 43, Dyer 78, Bush 38, Boyes 53, Allan not out 32). Brookes, four for 63, was the most successful bowler on a very unresponsive wicket. Canterbury lost one wicket for 115 (McCann not out 35, Harbide not out 64).
