REX THEATRE.

"Ace of Aces" and "The Crime of the Century" wilt conclude this evening at the Rex Theatre. Very amusing entertainment of the most uopular variety is contained, in the double-feature programme opening tomorrow. The principal attraction is Wheeler and Woolsey in "Hips, Hips, Hooray," an RKCMRadio musical exr travaganza, with lots of beautiful girls, hit tunes, original dances, and spectacular moments. It is the most pretentious production yet co-starring these comedians. Lavishness is maintained in cast as well as production for Thelma Todd, Ruth Etting, Dorothy Lee, Adele Thomas, and Jean Connors supply supporting; talent. More ■ than 100 beauties cavort about in places ranging from the oflice of a beauty shop to plate glass bath tubs. Those who like mystery spiced with comedy, thrills, and romance will want to see "Murder on the Blackboard," which is the second feature. Edna May Oliver and James Gleason are to be seen respectively in the roles of Hildegarde Withers, the crisp school teacher with keen ideas about crime detection, and Police Inspector Oscar Piper, a fasttalking, wise-cracking sleuth. Bruce Cabot, Gertrude Michael, Regis Toomey, and Tully Marshall are others in the cast. A number of entertaining short subjects complete the enjoyable programme.
