The New Year programme at the Empire Theatre is headed by "Lady for a-. Dsy,"- starring 'MayV Robson. The, story is an- emotional one arid is punctuated throughout - with laughter and bright dialogue. An exceptionally tak ented cast includes Warren William, Guy Kibbee, Glenda V Fa'rrell, Ned Sparks, and Jean Parker. The supporting feature.is."The Line-Up," starring William Gargan and Marion Nixon. The story concerns a girl employee who is implicated in the theft of a valuable fur coat. How a clever detective, after many harrowing experiences, finally succeeds in clearing the girl, makes gripping entertainment. A cartoon will also be screened.
