EFFECT ON IRAK-U.K. TRADE

The British Commercial Secretary at Bagdad, reviewing the trade between Irak and Britain during 1933-35, says conditions were most severe in textiles in which Japan captured 75 per cent, of the market, and the competition rapidly extended to other commodities. United Kingdom .goods were of high quality but were affected by the price discrepancy.
