FIRST DAY'S PLAY
Fine.weather and good playing surfaces at the Seatoun, Island Bay, Victoria, and Karori greens made conditions pleasant for the commencement of the Wellington Bowling Centre's New Year pairs tournament yesterday, four rounds being played. Twelve pairs met at each green and in most instances the games were got off according to schedule. Another four rounds are being played today and, the postsection play will take place on the Hataitai Club's green tomorrow. The results of the first four rounds are as follows:— SECTION A.
