| Conditions •••ere ideal for play in tho Wellington Bowling Centre's NewYear pairs tournament this morning and some good games were contested in the fifth and sixth rounds. Many of the games were close and only an occasional one resulted in one-sided victory. A large percentage of the players secured half or more than half of their games, and two won the full six, and six won five. Two more rounds are being played this afternoon, and the postsection play will take place on the Hataitai Club's green tomorrow.
