PALMERSTON N., September 30. ' Fines of £25 each were imposed! on Stanley Retlaw Galiichan and Les* lie William Carter in the Magistrate's Court under the Gaming Act. The former was charged with using Carter's hr.irdressing premises as a common gaming-house, and Carter was charged with permitting the premises to be so used.
