MELBOURNE, February 7..'. _ Mackintoshes were the order of the day when the first croquet Test was concluded in rain.
Australia won both doubles today, ■New Zealand having won only one game throughout the series against Australia. • ■
Windsor and MaCleery (Australia) defeated Mrs. Caldow and Stratton KNew Zealand), Miller and Hunt (Australia) defeated Mrs. Corbett ' and Hartnell (New Zealand). Totals: Australia, 6 rubbers, 12 games, 315 points; New Zealand, 1 game, 139 points. Final scores in the triangular first Test were:—Australia, 10 rubbers, 21 games, 576 points; England, 6 rubbers, 12 games, 516 points; New Zealand, 2 rubber, 8 games, 412 points. The second triangular Test begins on Saturday. The teams are:—England arid New Zealand, the same; Australia, Mit ler, Windsor, Mrs. E. Terry, and Miss A. B. Morrison.
