'• The'orders placed in. Great Britain by Soviet trading organisations in November of; last year amounted to £934,204 as compared with' £574,466 in October' of last'year and £810,260 in November, •1933.- The orders placed in the first eleven months of this year totalled £9,271,467 as compared: with £4,473,531 in! the corresponding period of 1933, an increase of more, than 107 per cent. The following figures, show the orders placed in, .November:—Machinery and equipment, £34,928; ferrous alloys and steel, £226,837; non-ferrous metals, £353,640; rubber, £197,450; textiles (raw materials), £79,640; tea, £30,211; various, £11,498. Total, £834,204. In the month of November 25 steamers were chartered by the Anglo-Soviet Shipping Co., Ltd., on the London market, of which 18 were British. The total tonnage involved was 190,818 and the freights, were estimated at £147,686. Of the tonnage 112,399 tons were British and the amount to be paid to British owners is estimated at £112,399.
