The weather was fine for the training , work at Riccarton this morning. Welcome showers fell during the.night, but they were not enough to have an appreciable effect ort tracks. The proceedings were• very'■'quiet.. ■ :•
Hpstis 'and Variant-did a -strong working gallop ' over ■ seven furlongs on the ploughV' Royati-Sceptre and Sundaiicer ran along 'under a-pull over five furlongs' on the-course, proper. Top Rank did useful' "work -on the course proper, sprinting down the Straight. ■ :' ■■'■■'<'■ '■'•;■ \ . '
' Silver Sight .did•a' "working gallop over ay mile and- a Quarter, coming home the'last5 three f>fuflongs a bit faster. Grecian Prince went five furlongs along, the back of .the course proper. Arcade jumped' three brush fences well. :
