THE ROYAL SHOW
WESTERN DISTRICT COUNCIL

PALMERSTON N., This Day.
Following a decision made at the annual meeting last July of the Royal Agricultural Society that the Royal Show should be held once in every five years in each of five districts in the Dominion, a meeting was held at Feilding at which a western district council was set up,1 consisting of Messrs. D. Collis, J. Batchelar, and H, Kissling (Palmerston North), J, Webb '(Taihape), M. A. Conway and J. Knight (Feilding), H. B. Johnston and R. Marshall (Marton), R. o, .Dalrymple (Bulls), H. J.-Lancaster (Levin), A, Hunter (Hawera), H. C. Sampson (New Plymouth). ;
The district comprises Taranaki and Manawatu and down to Wellington on the west coast.
Mr. L. J. .Wild, president of the Boyal Society, presided. The following members were elected to the Royal Society council:—Messrs. Knight, Conway, Hunter, Batchelar, and Sampson.
