HONOUR FOR DOG
An amusing ceremony took'place in Brussels recently, when the Mayor
(called on a well-known public-house to bestow a municipal medal on the publican's dog. The dog has for some time been a most industrious collector on" behalf ■■ of-a municipal social welfare scheme, and in a comparatively short period has collected over 16,000 francs (roughly £160). When the Mayor arrived the dog refused to allow him to pass until he had put something into the collection box.
