EXCHANGE TEACHER

ARRIVAL FROM ENGLAND

Among the passengers who arrived by the Tainui from England yesterday afternoon was Miss L. R. Todd, from the Sheffield Marlcliffe Intermediate School, who has come out to New Zealand under the teachers' exchange system. She is to take the place of Miss R. A. Allum, who has gone to Marlcliffe, and is to. teach French at the Seddon Memorial Junior Technical School at Auckland.

Miss Todd has studied in France, and her custom has been to spend her holidays there. She said on her arrival yesterday that it was pretty well necessary to have studied in France to secure a post as a teacher of French in England.
