HEAVY TRAIN TRAFFIC
Unusually heavy traffic was carried by. the excursion trains on the Mana.watu and Wairarapa' lines last Sunday. The trains which left Palmerston North for Wellington carried 2433 passengers, while 2141 left Wellington for Palmerston North and intermediate' stations. On the outward trip to the Wairarapa 511 passengers were carried, and 500 made the journey from the Wairarapa.
