"POST" V. PAEKAKARIKI
Four rinks from the "Evening Post" staff .spent another most enjoyable day on the Paekakariki Club's green on Sunday, when they played the second match this season ' against the suburban club. The green was very keen with a big draw, but the surface was true and reflected the greatest credit on the thriving new club. • At the conclusion of the play, Mr. J. Smith, the president of the PaekakariUi Club, expressed his pleas ire at the presence of the visitors, and hoped that further games would take place in the future. On behalf of the visitors, Mr. J. C. E. Turner apologised for the unavoidable absence of Mr. W. J. Blundell. The day had been a most enjoyable one, and members of "The Post" rinks were deeply appreciative of the club's hospitality. The players were also under a debt of gratitude to the ladies who had provided afternoon tea. Mr. Smith then called upon Mr. C. J. B. Norwood, patron of the club, to turn on the new water supply. The club has been fortunate enough to obtain permission to use a pipe line f*om a private reservoir, and the green will benefit accordingly. . .
