NEW ZEALAND NATIONAL EISTEDDFOD.
The syllabus for the New Zealand National Eisteddfod is coir available. It contains upwards of 25 classes, many of which are quite new in competition work, and judging by the numerous inquiries that have been received from competitors resident outside of Wellington it would appear that the entries for this popular festival will constitute a record.
All sections of art are being catered for, including dancing, vocal, and instrumental music, elocution.and oratory, original song and poem competitions, arid competent judges have been appointed from different parts of New Zealand.
■The patrons'of the society include the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, the lion.' R.; Masters, the hon. J. G. Cobbe, Mr. ,T. C. A. llislop, the Hon Vincent Ward, M L.C Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P., Mr. H. Atmorc. M.l\, Dr. D. Lloyd Clay, Dr. C. G. F. Monce, 111-. R. 11. Kimino, and, My. 0. Piitchanl. The president is Mr. L. Evans. The festival vill bo held dining the first school rnc.ition continuing from May IT to May 25, All entries close on March
