PALMERSTON N, Tins Day. Tn the Manawaru competition games which were continued ou Satin daj, V.M.C.A. beat Old Boys and United beat City Council. Requiring 100 runs with, six wickets in hand, V M C.A. passed Old Boys' first innings total by 33 inns. Old Boys -then knocked up 126 for tlnce wickets (declared), leaving V M.C A. '94 to get for a four-point win. This they did at the cost of two wickets K. Hatch led the batting with 109 With a inaigin of 49 runs, United legisteied a thiee-pomt win over City Council,- the match being decided on the fiist .innings
