WOOLSTON BAND

MARCH THROUGH CITY

Headed by the Port Nicholson Silver Band, supplemented by other bandsmen, the Woolston Band from Christchurch marched through the city shortly after 2 p.m. today to the Makura, hy which they left later for Sydney. Their mission to Australia is to compete in band contests at Ballarat and Melbourne. The complement of the band is 29, made up of 25 instrumentalists, two. drummers, the conductor, and manager.
