CRADLE FOR BABY PRINCESS

Tlic lovely cradle which the women of Italy have made for Princess Marie Jose's baby is boat-shaped and slung high on rockers, states an exchange. It is a most elaborate piece of work. Made of sandalwood and other rare woods, it is decorated in the Neopolitan manner, for Crown Prince Umberto and his Princess have their home there. The distinctive features of the cradle's decoration are coral medallions and cupids, representing the four seasons, views of Naples, in inlaid tortoiseshell.
